Active members of AAMHO are invited to join in a discussion about the unique issues that park residents , especially those living in sub-metered manufactured/mobile/RV parks,  may experience in either delivery of services, aging or defective infrastructure or overcharging on bills. Some residents have suddenly gotten water bills for over $1000! (No, they did not have a leak...) If you make any utility payments directly to your park management, you are "sub-metered" for those utilities. Nearly all parks do some sub-metering, especially for water, sewer/septic and trash. 

AAMHO's next Park Manager Certification Class will be held in-person on. October 16, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM in Tempe at our old office location, 2334 South McClintock Drive, Tempe, 85282.  Our next class will be in Tucson in November, details TBA. 

The class will be taught by Carol Judd, AAMHO board member and LTA expert, and Cheri Horbacz, Southwest Fair Housing Council, expert on the Federal and Fair Housing Laws, including some important changes recently. Cheri will teach you live through ZOOM, since she lives in Tucson and is currently recovering from surgery. 

Lunch will be provided for you and you will have time to chat with the other managers attending. You will also have plenty of time to ask specific questions. You will receive your certificate at the end of the class.

All District 2 AAMHO members and guests are invited to join your Director, Al Retherford, Kath Noble, President and other board members at this year's  Fall meeting in the Ballroom at Palmas Del Sol East, 3400 S Ironwood Drive in Apache Junction on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 9 AM till 10:30 or 11:00 AM. Instead of the "Listening Session" we had last year, we will be sharing updates of what legislation AAMHO will be supporting and proposing in 2027 and other recent changes and additions to our future plans. There is no fee to attend! 

The planning team will make sure that you get some valuable information and have a chance to ask questions about AAMHO's direction for the next year or two. 

Haven't renewed yet or not a member? If you live in a MH park in District 2 where you own your home but rent/lease the land, you may join at aamho.org or at the meeting. We also will have some fun giveaways (better than last year LOL)! District 2 includes all of Pinal County and a tiny sliver of East Maricopa County near the 202. If you get this email, you live in District 2! Registration ends on Oct. 25 so that the AAMHO team at the park can set up enough chairs. You may cancel before that date, also.
